Continuing Education Program
AOSpine Latin America is pleased to announce some changes in the Continuing Education Program to constantly update our educational offerings and follow high scientific standards. Starting in 2019, the new entrants of the Continuing Education Program will have two progressive learning levels in two years to complete the course. Read more »
Simulator Course
In last weekend (November 23-24) , we had our first AOSpine Hospital Based Course—Principles of the minimally invasive tubular surgery held in Lima (PE). The participant could practice and improve specific surgery skills in an 8h course that covered tubular discectomy, unilateral tubular decompression and over the top, TLIF and dural repair.

FEP in Santo Domingo
The last Faculty Education Program (FEP) for Latin America took place in Santo Domingo (DO) in September. The FEP is an AO Foundation project to strengthen faculty education. It was developed with the most modern and useful tools so our Faculty can develop their activities successfully in our events. The program equips new faculty members who have an upcoming faculty assignment with the skills required to give a lecture, facilitate a small group discussion, or run a practical exercise at an AO educational event. Hospital Based Seminars
The Hospital Based Seminars (HBS) are low cost educational activities developed on-site at hospitals of the region, based on the AOSpine Curriculum, and case discussions. It is aimed at fellows, residents and medical staff of these hospitals. We have started the HBS Project in 2017 and the initiative was very well received by the region and the international community. Read more »
Fellowship Program 2019 – New call

Online Course - How to interpret evidence
The online course “Access to the information: How to interpret evidence” took place from September 9 to October 27. The course had participants from the three clinical divisions AOSpine, AOTrauma and AOVET. It was the first edition of the course available in three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.
